This is about that time when every site releases their annual lists of the best and worst that went down in the calendar year. It’s a time for everyone to reflect on all the memorable moments; to place a bow on the past and send it packing as we welcome Baby New Year. For the past couple years, COED has released our annual “Women That Wowed” list (here’s 2008 and 2009). It’s a rundown of the females in pop culture who made an impression on us – whether it was for posing nude, declaring their sexuality, or for demanding oral sex. Is it always about sex? No. Some of the ladies on this list might surprise you. They sure surprised us.

A couple of years ago Alyssa Campanella placed first runner-up in the 2007 Miss Teen USA pageant and now this New Jersey hottie has moved out to the West Coast to dominate the beauty pageant circuit. On November 21, 2010 she competed in the Miss California USA pageant and won the title! You’ll remember that the 2009 title was held by wild child Carrie Prejean who as a member of our 28 Beauty Queens Gone Wild.

There’s never been a more appropriately named reality TV show than Tess Taylor’s “Pretty Wild” on E! Actually, E! might’ve understated the level of wildness. It really should just be called, “Wow”. She first popped up on our radar in late March when NSFW screen grabs of her topless made the rounds on the internet. Then, she was named Playboy’s 2010 Cyber Girl of the Year, which prompted us to overdose on her pics. We love women who aren’t ashamed of their bodies and when NSFW screen grabs of her mom snapping pics of her in the shower surfaced, we understood where she got that state of mind. We’d like to think her WOW factor could even help the economy on Cyber Monday.

Glee’s been hovering around the outskirts of our WOW radar for the past five or six months. It appeared on our list of the 10 Best TV Shows You Aren’t Watching in late June then we gave our users 5 reasons why they should start watching. Well, if those articles didn’t get your gander, the pictorial featuring cast members Dianna Agron and Lea Michele in GQ got OURS.

      It was the best of times, it was the breast of times. Looking back on 2010, we'd have to say it was full of awe-inspiring.
