Occupation: High School English Teacher

Crime: Emailing nude pictures and video of herself to a former student. Pled guilty to “disseminating harmful materials to a minor”.
Sentence: 2 years probation

Amy Beck
Age: 33
Location: Burbank, California
Title: Former English and Social Studites teacher at David Starr Jordan Middle School
Lover: 14 year old boy
Crime: 4 counts of unlawful sex with a person under 16 and 1 count of oral copulation with a person under 16
Sentence: 2 years in a state prison

Amy Northcutt
Age: 26
Location: Turlock, California
Title: Former history teacher at Turlock Christian School
Lover:
Crime: Her and her husband sent erotic text messages to a 16-year-old female student and attempting to arrange group sex with her.
Sentence: 2 months in jail for the chick, 3 months for the dude

Amy McElhenney
Age at time of offense: 25
Location: Austin, TX
Occupation: High School Spanish Teacher
Lover: 18-year-old student
Crime: Charged with having an improper relationship with a student, a second-degree felony.
Sentence: A conviction on a second-degree felony could result in up to 20 years in prison

Notes: Competed in the 2002 Miss Texas pageant after she was crowned Miss Bexar County.

Angela Comer
Age at time of offense: 26
Location: Kentucky
Occupation: Middle School Math Teacher
Lover: 14 year-old male student
Crime: Fled the country with a 14-year-old lover and her four-year-old son.
Sentence: Indicted by a grand jury in Kentucky on felony custodial interference, two counts of third-degree sodomy and four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor relating to sexual acts.

April Watson and Ashley Burkett
Age: 33 and 31
Location: Jay, Florida
Title: Burkett was Assistant Volleyball Coach who taught reading and special education. Watson was Assisatant Coach for the JV Cheerleading Team and taught math.
Lover: 17 year old boys (total # undetermined)
Crime: Sex with said 17 year old students
Sentence: Both will serve 15 months in state prison plus 5 years probation

Autumn Leathers
Age: 24
Location: Allegheny County, Maryland
Title: English teacher at Mountain Ridge High School
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: 1 count of fourth-degree sex offense
Sentence: 5 years of unsupervised probation

Cameo Patch
Age at time of offense: 29
Location: Toole County, UT
Occupation: Substitute Teacher
Lover: 17 year-old male student
Crime: Performing oral sex on a minor. Charged with unlawful sexual conduct and lewdness
Sentence: $2000 fine, 36 months probation and ordered to obtain a psycho-sexual evaluation.

Carrie McCandless
Age at time of offense: 29
Location: Jefferson County, CO
Occupation: High School English Teacher
Lover: 17 year-old male student
Crime: Having sex with a minor during a school sponsored camping trip to the Rockies. Pled guilty to tampering with evidence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Sentence: 45 days in days in prison, 5 years probation, 1 – two year deferred sentence, 1 – 4 year deferred sentence and 10 year registration as a sex offender

Odd Fact: Carrie’s husband was the school’s principal.

Age: 33
Location: Mount Vernon, Georgia
Title: Counselor at Montgomery County High School
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: 1 count of sexual assault
Sentence: No update.

Christine Marie Johanson
Age: 35
Location: Rainer, Oregon
Title: Teacher’s Assistant
Lover: 15 year old boy
Crime: 4 counts of third-degree rape
Sentence: 360 days in jail

Christine A. McCallum
Age: 29
Location: Abington, Massachusetts
Title: 5th Grade Teacher
Lover: 13 year old boy
Crime: 7 counts of statutory rape
Sentence: Under house arrest

Christine Scarlett
Age at time of offense: 39
Location: Strongsville, OH
Occupation: Art Teacher
Lover: 17 year-old male student
Crime: Scarlett allegedly held a win a date with a teacher contest, and took Bradigan to Dairy Queen. Bradigan said Scarlett then made a move on him in the parking lot of a Strongsville mall. Bradigan says a sexual relationship followed.
Sentence: Sentencing yet to take place.

Christine Spaich
Age: 28
Location: Roseville, California
Title: Teacher and Volleyball Coach
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: Unlawful intercourse with a minor
Sentence: 4 months in jail and 400 hours of community service

Danielle Walls
Age at time of offense: 25
Location: San Diego, CA
Occupation: High School History Teacher
Lover: 16 year-old male student
Crime: 10 to 25 sexual encounters with a minor, supplying drugs and alcohol to a minor. Pled guilty to multiple counts of unlawful sexual contact and furnishing alcohol to a minor in addition giving a controlled substance to a minor.
Sentence: 1 year in jail, 5 years six months probation.

Debra Lafave
Age at time of offense: 25
Location: Tampa, FL
Occupation: Middle School Teacher
Lover: 14 year-old male student
Crime: Numerous sexual encounters with a teen in her classroom, her home and her SUV. Charged with 4 felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition.
Sentence: 3 years house arrest, 7 years probation and lifetime registration as a sex offender who cannot work near children

Odd Fact: Nick Carter claims to have lost his virginity to Ms. Lafave

Heather Shelton
Age at time of offense: 22
Location: Buncombe, NC
Occupation: Teacher’s Assistant
Lover: 18-year-old student
Crime: In North Carolina it is a felony for any teacher to have sex with a student regardless of the age of the student.
Sentence: Fired from her job

Helen Goddard
Age: 26
Location: London, England
Title: Trumpet instructor at the City of London School for Girls
Lover: 15 year old girl
Crime: 6 counts of sexual activity with a child
Sentence: Banned from working with youngsters and ordered to register as sex offender for 10 years

Janelle Batkins
Age at the time of crime: 42
Location: Clinton, MI
Occupation: French Teacher
Lover: 17 year-old male student
Crime: Had sex with underage student at her home over a several month period.
Sentence: Charged with two counts of CSC and if convicted she will serve jail time.

Jennifer Lea Burton
Age: 39
Location: Orange, Texas
Title: Teacher and coach at Orangefield High School
Lover: 15 year old girl
Crime: 3 counts of sexual assault and 3 counts related to an improper relationship between student and educator
Sentence: Punishments could range from two years probation to 20 years in prison with fines of $10,000 for each count

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Title: English Teacher at the Tucson Rincon High School

Crime: Sent inappropriate photos

Crime: Charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a minor and criminal sexual contact

Lisa Marinelli

Location: Tampa, FL
Occupation: High School Substitute Teacher
Lover: 17 year-old male student
Crime: While searching for potential suitors for her 15 year-old daughter, Ms. Marinelli had over 10 sexual encounters with a minor.
Sentence: She is charged with unlawful sex with a minor. She is currently free on $20,000 bail.

Loni Folks
Age at time of offense: 24
Location: Petal, Mississippi.
Occupation: 5th Grade Teacher
Lover: 16 year-old male student
Crime: Arrested on Jan 28, 2008 for having sexual relations with a minor.
Sentence: Charges pending.

Mary Kay Letourneau
Age at time of offense: 34
Location: Burien, WA
Occupation: Elementary School Teacher
Lover: 13 year-old male student
Crime: Having sex with a minor.
Sentence: Pled guilty to 2 counts of second-degree statutory rape and was sentenced to 89 months in prison.

Fact: Letourneau was her victims 3rd grade teacher and began their sexual relationship when she taught him again in 6th grade when he was 13 years old. Letourneau gave birth to his love child while serving her 89 month prison sentence. Letourneau was released from prison in 2004 and was married to her victim (now 21 years old) one year later.

Natasha Sizow
Age: 24
Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia
Title: 1st year social studies teacher and girls’ swimming coach at Granby High School
Lovers: Two 17 year old students, one male and one female
Crime: 2 counts each of indecent liberties and use of a communications device to facilitate crimes against children
Sentence: Charges dropped

Nicole Andrea Barnhart
Age: 35
Location: Highlands Ranch, Colorado
Title: Teacher at Ponderosa High School
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: Felony sexual assault on a child
Sentence: two-year prison sentence and a minimum of 10 years in a sex-offender probation program

Pamela Smart
Age at time of offense: 23
Location: Derry, NH
Occupation: Media Services Coordinator
Lover: 15 year-old male
Crime: Seduced 15-year-old William “Billy” Flynn and threatening to leave him unless he killed her husband.
Sentence: Charged with murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Pamela Rogers Turner
Age at time of offense: 27
Location: McMinniville, TN
Occupation: Elementary School Teacher, Physical Education and Basketball Coach
Lover: 13 year-old male student
Crime: Having vaginal and oral sex with a minor on more than a dozen occasions at school, her home and the teens’ home. She was later arrested for sending nude photos, sex videos and text messages to a minor and continuing communications with the boy through blogs and a website after her original arrest. She was ultimately charged with 4 counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and violation of probation
Sentence: 270 days in prison, an 8-year suspended sentence, 7 years 3 months probation, register as a sex offender and surrender her teaching certificate for life.

Rachel Burkhart

Title: Teacher at Lenoir City High School
Lover: 18 year old male student
Crime: No charges, no investigation
Sentence: Forced to resign

Rebecca Dawn Bogard
Age at time of offense: 27
Location: Biloxi, MI
Occupation: High School Teacher
Lover: 16 year-old male student
Crime: Sent explicit text messages and trysted with the victim in her white Jaguar, which bore the license plate “GRRRRR.”
Sentence: Facing felony sexual battery charges.

Sandra Geisel
Age at time of offense: 42
Location: Colonie, NY
Occupation: English Teacher
Lover: 4 students including a 16 year-old student.
Crime: Having sex with 4 students including a minor in the backseat of her car.
Sentence: Albany County District Attorney’s office filed two felony rape charges.

Sarah L. Tolzien
Age: 24
Location: Richton Park, Illinois
Title: Teacher and Cross-Country Coach at Rich South High School
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: Criminal sexual assault and aggravated sexual abuse
Sentence: No updates.

Shannon Best
Age: 33
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Title: Social studies teacher at Sanderson High School
Lover: 18 year old female student
Crime: Misdemeanor attempted crime against nature and giving alcohol to a student
Sentence: 45-day suspended jail sentence, 18 months unsupervised probation, and was ordered to pay a $250 fine and court costs.

Sheral Lee Smith
Age: 37
Location: Jackson, Mississippi
Title: Teacher
Lover: 14 year old boy who was friends with her son
Crime: 5 counts of statutory rape and transfer of a controlled substance in one county with charges of statutory rape and sexual battery pending in another county, all against the same teen
Verdict: Sentenced to 20 years on each of the four counts, which are to run concurrently. She will have to serve seven years of the sentence, and 13 years were suspended on each count. After she is released, Smith will be on probation for five years and will be required to register as a sex offender

Sheryl A. Nawahine
Age: 35
Location: Fruitland, Idaho
Title: Teacher at Fruitland High School
Lover: 16 year old boy
Crime: 3 felony counts for exchanging more than 1,000 explicit text messages to a friend of her son and daughter
Sentence: No updates.

Stephanie Ragusa
Age at time of offense: 28
Location: Tampa, FL
Occupation: Middle School Special Education Teacher
Lover: 14 year-old male student
Crime: 3 sexual encounters with a teen between Oct. 1 2006 and May 4, 2007. Twice in her car. Once in her apartment
Sentence: Ms. Ragusa is charged with five counts of engaging in lewd or lascivious battery of a minor. She is currently free after posting $12,500 bail

Teresa Engelbach
Age: 21
Location: Pevely, Montana
Title: Substitute teacher
Lover: 14 year old boy who was her brother’s friend
Crime: 3 counts of statutory rape and 1 count of statutory sodomy, second-degree statutory rape and sexual misconduct
Sentence: Fined $5,000 and placed on probation for 2 years
