5 Reasons Why Adrien Brody Is The Man

Adrien Brody, 37, whose recent sci-fi film “Predators” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray this week, is not only a great actor, but he’s a solid dude. We’ve compiled a brief list outlining reasons why he rocks the Kasbah.

1. Youngest guy to win a Best Actor Oscar.

In 2003, at age 29, Brody won an Academy Award for his work in “The Pianist,” dethroning Tinsel Town big boy Richard Dreyfuss. Most people in their twenties are only cracking into their careers or still figuring out what they want to do with their lives, but Brody nabbed his industry’s top honor before he turned 30. Commence your feelings of inadequacy.

2. He’s a hip-hop dynamo.

In addition to an acting career, Brody’s musically inclined, and had moonlighted as a hip-hop producer for years before his Oscar win. And people like Diddy and Jay-Z say he’s got chops. Some of Brody’s work has appeared in indie films he’s also starred in early in his career.

3. He’s a big fan of bikes.

Motorcycles, to be exact. He’s ridden for years, everywhere from Queens to India. As a matter of fact, he scraped up pretty bad in L.A. in 1992, when he broadsided a car that didn’t slow down on a yellow light. While it was pretty severe, Brody bounced back when a buddy gave him a Ducati Monster as a present. Brody bought his first real bike in his early teens–a Ninja ZX900.

4. His style is fresh.

In 2004, Esquire named him the Best Dressed Man in America. When you’re 6’1″ and in great shape (and a movie star), it’s easy to become a style icon, and Brody pulls it off easily.

5. He made out with Halle Berry.

Repeat: He made out with Halle Berry. It comes full circle to his Academy Award win: Obviously flipping out with adrenaline-fueled ecstasy–and the fact that the presenter was one of the hottest women in Hollywood–Brody wrapped his arms around Berry for a back-bending lip lock after leaping to the stage. We are not worthy.
