The Frat-rat. Every House Has One

Frat-rat (frat rat) n. 1: a girl that spends exorbitant amounts of time at a frat house, usually with the intent to slut it up with one or more of the fraternity brothers; a girl that bangs a different frat guy every week. Frat-ratting (frat-ratting) v. 2: the act of whoring yourself out at a single house or multiple fraternity houses.

Any way you slice it, the term ‘frat-rat’ is far from endearing. Yet there is always that girl who seems proud to make it her reputation.

Why? one might ask. The negative gossip floating around campus could not possibly make her feel good. Neither could the many STDs she’s probably contracted. People actually stare at her in disgust and shake their heads in pity.

Is she addicted to sex? Does she love the male attention? Or is she just really, really, really insecure? Well, it could be a combination of all three. The clear conclusion is that she has issues. Her dirty acts are obviously a desperate attempt to fill an emptiness or lack of happiness. It may all stem from the ‘He’ll love me if I sleep with him’ complex. Whatever the case, no college would be complete without one.

Caution: Hanging out at your favorite frat house a lot won’t necessarily label you a “frat-rat” or the “house hussy.” It’s your actions that determine how much the brothers will talk about you … and they all talk. Try not to hook up with more than three brothers a year.
