The Ultimate 2010 AXE Undie Run Showdown (257 Photos)

Finally, a good excuse to go streaking! On ten campuses across the country, co-eds who hate clothing and love charity participated in the greatest college competition this side of March Madness: the AXE Undie Run Challenge. Started in 2002 at UCLA, the Undie Run pits student body against student body to see who can donate the most clothing to charity… while running around in just their underoos. AXE, the guys’ grooming brand, kicked in a $50,000 donation, too, making it the best thing to ever happen on any quad, ever.

Boston College: April 30, 2010 – Give the kids at Boston College credit: they’ve got nuns marching all up in that school, and they must have given quite a few of them a shock when they ran around campus very, very defrocked. But not even the nuns could argue with the 560 pounds of clothing they donated during the event.  (16 Photos!)

Arizona State: May 4, 2010 – Arizona State is the largest public research University in the United States, but since it’s about 2000 degrees there in the desert, it may be the least clothed school in the country. That makes their whopping 5,300 pounds of clothes donated all the more impressive.  (81 Photos!)

University of Kansas: May 6 – Rock, Chalk Jayhawk! Take off your pants and show us your…generosity! The University of Kansas brought in 1560 pounds of clothes to the Undie Run, more than making up for the fact that their mascot does not in fact exist in the real world (unless you could get a jayhawk and sparrow to bang)!(21 Photos!)

University of Wisconsin – Madison: May 6 – In the 1960s and 70s, there were gigantic protests and disturbances on the campus of the University of Wisconsin against the school’s
tangential involvement with the Vietnam War. This week, tons of kids got naked and donated 1,100 pounds of clothes to charity. On the fun scoreboard, Present: 1, Past: 0. (15 Photos!)

University of Texas – Austin: May 7 – We weren’t sure if University of Texas students ever wore shirts, at least judging by the painted bellies we see at Longhorns games on TV, so it was a pretty sweet deal when they turned out 3,200 pounds of clothing. And just like their football team, they came in second place! (12 Photos!)

University of Maryland – College Park: May 11 – For good luck, students at the University of Maryland rub a statue of their turtle mascot, Testudo the Terrapin. He probably loves that, the scaly perv, and then loved it even more when kids clad in just their undies gave him a stroke. We loved that they piled up 1000 pounds of clothing for charity.  (25 Photos!)

San Diego State: May 12, 2010 - San Diego is home to the famous Chicken mascot, but thankfully, of the impressive 2,600 pounds of threads the SDSU students brought to the Undie Run, there was not one poultry suit. Girls are way too hot there for any of that funny business, anyway.  (28 Photos!)

University of Washington: May 12 – Next year’s likely number one pick in the NFL draft, Jake Locker, attends the University of Washington. He was draft eligible this year, in fact, but decided to stay in school. We’re betting it’s because he wanted to watch the Undie Run, which netted 560 pounds of clothes from his UDub peers.  (28 Photos!)

Ohio State University: May 20 – Buckeyes when buck wild this week, storming around their campus and bringing in tons of clothing for charity. Hopefully, that includes a sweater from football coach Jim Tressel. (18 Photos!)

University of California – Santa Barbara: June 6 – U.C.S.B has a wild reputation for being the greatest Undie Run of all and we were certainly weren’t disappointed when it came to their run on June 11th. The sun-kissed students donated pounds upon pounds of clothes to charity as they stripped down to take a lap around campus. (15 Photos!)
